Scoliosis

A fairly common spinal condition, characterised by a lateral curvature of the spine.

Scoliosis is not a disease. Instead, it is a keyword that describes an abnormality characterised by a lateral curvature of the spine. It usually progresses around puberty and is commonly more prevalent in females than males.

Early detection is critical and may require an X-ray or other imaging to get a better view. Common signs and symptoms include slumped posture, uneven shoulders, pain, weakness and sometimes, in severe cases breathing difficulties.

Here at Touchpoint, we know that early detection is key, so we offer all children under 18 a free Scoliosis assessment. Just get in touch!
